What they do
The Group A A90 Undervanes are a set of dry carbon fins that bolt under the Group A Aero Package 1 lip and undertray. They guide and speed up the air going under the front of the car. Faster air under the car means lower pressure, and lower pressure pulls the car down. The result is more front grip on corner entry and a better front-to-rear aero balance when you run them with a rear wing.
In our CFD testing of the full Group A A90 package, adding the undervanes increased downforce at both ends of the car, with only a small increase in drag.
About +40 lbs of downforce at 100 mph with Aero Package 1 (CFD simulation). The vanes also help the lip and the rest of the package work harder.
