Shipping & Freight Delivery

How we ship

Every part leaves our shop in Pomona, CA. Small parts ship by UPS or USPS. Bumpers, hoods, wings, diffusers and full kits are too large for parcel carriers, so they ship by freight truck (LTL) in a custom wooden crate. Local pickup in Pomona is free and available at checkout.

Part type Carrier Typical transit after shipping
Canards, lips, brackets, small carbon pieces UPS or USPS 2–5 business days
Bumpers, hoods, wings, diffusers, full kits Freight truck (LTL) 5–10 business days
Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, Canada, UK Freight, quoted at checkout Varies by destination

Most parts are in stock and ship within a few business days. If a part you ordered is not available, we contact you with a production date before charging shipping.

What to expect with a freight delivery

Freight works differently from a UPS box on your porch. Read this before your order ships.

  1. The carrier will call you to schedule. Once the crate reaches your local terminal, the freight company calls the phone number on your order to book a delivery window. Keep your phone on and answer unknown numbers. If they cannot reach you, the crate sits at the terminal and storage fees can apply after a few days.
  2. You need to be there. Someone must be present to receive the shipment, inspect it and sign for it.
  3. Delivery is curbside only. The driver brings the crate to the curb or the end of your driveway. The truck does not have a liftgate. Plan to have a second person available to help lift the crate off the truck; a bumper crate is awkward rather than heavy, a hood or full kit needs two people.
  4. Residential delivery costs more than commercial. Freight companies charge extra for home deliveries. If you can accept the crate at a business address with a loading dock or forklift, choose Freight (Commercial Address) at checkout and save on shipping. Choosing the commercial rate for a home address will result in a billing adjustment after delivery.
  5. Inspect before you sign. This is the most important step.

Inspect before you sign

When the driver arrives, look over the crate before signing anything. Check for holes, crushed corners, forklift punctures, broken slats or a crate that has been opened. If you see anything at all, write it on the delivery receipt (the Bill of Lading) next to your signature, for example “crate damaged, corner crushed, subject to inspection.” Take photos while the driver is still there.

Once the crate is open, inspect the part itself and email photos of any damage to [email protected] within 24 hours of delivery.

If you sign a clean delivery receipt, the freight carrier treats the shipment as delivered in perfect condition and will deny a damage claim. We cannot replace a part for free if the receipt was signed without noting damage. Refusing a visibly destroyed crate is fine; just call us the same day so we can start the claim.

Tracking your shipment

You receive an email with the carrier name and tracking number when your order ships. UPS and USPS tracking links go straight to the carrier. Freight shipments have a PRO number that you can look up on the carrier’s website, or email us and we will check the status for you. Every order and its tracking number is also listed under My Account → Orders.

Address changes and reconsignment

We update your shipping address free of charge any time before the order ships. Once a freight shipment is in transit, redirecting it is called a reconsignment, and the carrier charges a fee for it that we pass on to you. Double-check your address and phone number at checkout.
