Function
The Group A A90 Rear Diffuser is a pre-preg dry carbon diffuser that mounts beneath the rear bumper on dedicated brackets. It manages the airflow leaving the underside of the car, helping it exit smoothly behind the vehicle. The result is reduced rear lift and added rear grip, and it is designed to work as a pair with the Group A Gear 7 GT wing for balanced front-to-rear aerodynamics.
Track-Spec Design
The Group A diffuser is built to a single track-focused specification. It sits low to the road so the air beneath it travels faster, lowering pressure under the rear of the car and pulling the rear down for more grip. On a daily-driven car, take care over steep driveways, speed bumps and road debris.
CFD Simulation Result
In our CFD simulation at 100 mph, with the full Group A kit fitted, adding the diffuser increased rear downforce by about 95 lb with no added drag. It also moves the car’s aero balance toward the rear, which helps keep the back end planted in fast corners.
